From sketchbook to rhymes, independent recording artist and rapper, TT The Artist creates a well-blended sound of Baltimore club, Miami bass, hip hop, and electronic dance music. Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, FL, TT The Artist (Tedra Wilson) graduated from The Maryland Institute College Of Art (MICA) with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and a concentration in video, positioning herself as an multimedia artist that bridges the worlds of music and art. Baltimore, was the incubator for her musical journey and enabled her to test the waters and create a reputable name within the local music scene as well as define her unapologetic, raw voice and style.
TT The Artist’s bursted onto the Baltimore music scene in 2009. She developed her fearless approach to performance by attending local open mics and throwing her own concerts and events along the east coast. She has joined the ranks and performed at high profile festivals such as Coachella, SXSW, Made In America and Trillelectro alongside Anna Lunoe, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Big Sean, Migos, Rae Sremmurd, Kehlani, Chance The Rapper, and DRAM. At the peak of 2013, Grammy award winning dj and producer Diplo caught wave of TT The Artist’s sound and featured her on his single Dat A Freak which would go on to be sampled by Jennifer Lopez in her hit single Booty featuring Iggy Azalea. Red Bull Music Academy took notice of her sound and selected her as 1 of 20 artists in the U.S. to be a part of the Red Bull Music Bass camp at the 2015 Bonnaroo music festival. TT The Artist has also taken her talents be- yond the U.S borders and performed in Berlin for the Yo Sissy Festival and featured as a headliner in Canada’s Sled Island festival where she was mentioned . She has been sup- ported by influential djs and producers in the dance industry such as Diplo, AC Slater, Gladiators, Baauer, Sinden and more. She has also been a supporting act for Peaches 2016 worldwide tour and shared stages with the Queen of Bounce music,
TT The Artist’s has been featured on Fader, VICE, Noisey, Fact Magazine, and in the Oxy- gen Network’s digital series In Progress, which features 52 outstanding women as well as listed on Oxygen’s top 10 female rappers to look out for.
